About Austin Selected Benefits of Texas
Selected Benefits, Inc. was created in 2002 by Steve Wendlandt in Houston, Texas. Initially, our agency was principally focused on serving the health insurance needs of Texas Realtors, but has since expanded to service the universal public. Our main focus is still individual and family health insurance and Health Savings Accounts for Texas residents, but we also offer dental plans, life insurance and small group health insurance as well.
Our firm, since 2002, has the endorsement of the Texas Association of Realtors and is currently a designated TAR “Benefits Partner”. We also hold an A+ rating by the Better Business Bureau of Greater Houston.
Lynne & Steve
Steve Wendlandt is the owner/agent of Selected Benefits. He is also a co-founder of New Century Real Estate Group and founder of Wendlandt Investments, LLC. Steve graduated with a degree in economics from Mississippi State University where he was both a President’s and Dean’s scholar. Steve and his wife Lynne have been married for 12 years. Lynne principally handles all accounting and human resource functions for Selected Benefits and the other entities listed above. Lynne is a graduate of Baylor University.
Madeleine Ubberud: Underwriting Customer Service
Madeleine has been with Selected Benefits since 2005 and handles all underwriting/customer service. A native of Norway, she is fluent in French, Norwegian and German (and of course English). Madeleine is a graduate of Houston Baptist University.
